About Us

Orchard Hills Veterinary Hospital has been providing pet care to animals in the Glenmore Park, South Penrith, Orchard Hills and Mulgoa areas since 1981.  We are situated on a large block of land in Orchard Hills and the spacious surroundings are an added bonus to the airy, clean facilities of which we are proud of. Orchard Hills Veterinary Hospital treats a wide range of pets from the large Great Dane to the tiny pet mouse.

At Orchard Hills Veterinary Hospital we are dedicated to giving our patients and their carers the best service we can; we also work alongside specialists for those cases which need care above what we can provide.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

My name is Camille Brandt BVSC, (Hons I), MVS, (SAP) and I am the new veterinary surgeon at Orchard Hills Veterinary Hospital. Since Janet Colless's retirement we have been thrilled at the opportunity to care for Nepean district'ss furry family members.

I grew up in the Blue Mountains and attended Springwood High School. After graduating from Sydney University with first class honors, I took up a veterinary post in the Campbelltown region, the Blue Mountains, and Liverpool in general practice. Before taking over from Janet at Orchard Hills Veterinary Hospital, I worked at as an emergency veterinarian at the Veterinary Specialist Centre. There is not much in the way of small animal care, that I have not seen or treated. I have a strong interest in surgery and internal medicine.

My own pets include Bella the kelpie, 3 cats (Tigger, Blossom and Baby) and 2 pet sheep (Mister Handsome and Lucy). The sheep actually think they are dogs and love a back rub.

My aim as a veterinarian is to provide an accurate diagnoses, effective treatment and as soon as possible pain relief to pets and their anxious families. I do however encourage preventative treatments as they are often better than a cure and more cost-effective.

Our friendly Team

We are fortunate to have retained the same friendly, highly skilled staff including Teresa, Justine and Trent. Liz has also returned after a break. We also welcome our newest nurse employee, Belinda. Teresa is the Veterinary Nursing Manager and is responsible for the smooth running of the hospital.

Teresa, Justine, Liz and Belinda are all fully qualified veterinary nurses with years of experience, and are more than capable in helping you and your pet recover back to health.

The fabulous dog trainer, Jill will still be running the Puppy Preschool at Orchard Hills Veterinary Hospital on Wednesday nights. Puppy Preschool is a wonderful chance for puppies to be socialised with other dogs and to learn many training tips.
